Big team, big goals

The FHN bowling team is growing, causing
more bowlers to have to sit out. Because of their size, the team has been split into ten different
groups. However, most bowling alleys only have nine lanes, which causes one of the groups to be forced to sit out a game.
“Right now we have the largest amount of kids that are participating,” coach Denise Lupo said. “They’re all great bowlers.”
Last year there were only nine groups, so sitting out was not a problem. But even with the added group, bowlers are still enjoying their time.
“It’s hard having a bunch of people on the team, but [because of that] it’s that much more fun,” senior Jamie Bassman said.
The team practices at Cave Springs Lanes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. They also practice with the Central team or Howell team on Tuesdays from 3-5 p.m. or Saturdays from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. if they can’t make it on any other day.
“Even though we have a lot of people and it’s hard to work with, I can tell were getting better,” junior Ashley Dent said.
